Why are regular electrical inspections so important?

Although is not a compulsory requirement, regularly inspecting your electrical equipment is the best safeguard against injury, death, property damage and ensures a safe workplace.

It is the business responsibility to ensure that all tools and equipment used on the job site are in safe working order. This includes checking for worn or damaged power tools or cords, ensuring that any electrical components are properly grounded, and making sure there is no standing water present which could be an electrical hazard. It is also important to provide employees with safety training so they know how to identify potential hazards and take appropriate precautions when working around electricity. By taking these steps you can help keep your workers safe from the dangers of electric shock while on the job site.

What are Electrical Test Tags?

Electrical test tags are used to indicate whether an electrical appliance or equipment has been tested and approved for safe use. They are typically made from durable material, and they contain information such as the date when the item was last tested, who conducted the testing, what tests were performed and if any repairs were necessary. Electrical test tags can help reduce workplace accidents by ensuring that all electrical appliances have been properly inspected before being operated.

OSHA requires test results to be recorded.  Electrical Test Tags should be hard-wearing and built for industrial environments. In the event a Test Tag has fallen off, or become illegible, it is important to re-test and re-tag the equipment for safe use.

Test Tags can be customised with numbering systems, barcodes, Qr codes, company logos, inspection details to suit every business needs.
